LOURDES PILGRIMAGE – there will be
a short meeting for all those going to Lourdes. The
meeting will take place next Monday 7th march in the
Grotto Chapel beside Fincairn Church at 7.00pm.

from LASCO will speak, at the Masses in Altinure on
the weekend of Saturday/Sunday 12th and 13th March,
about the work in South America. If you wish to make
a contribution there will be an opportunity to do

AWARENESS In conjunction with Be Safe Be
Well, Limavady Community Safety Partnership, Limavady
Good Relations, the CLEAR Project and Limavady District
Policing Partnership are offering you the opportunity
to attend a training session at The Drummond Hotel,
Ballykelly on Tuesday 5th April from 7pm to 10pm.
Training relates to suicide awareness and offers the
opportunity to gain some insight in relation to dealing
with someone who may have suicidal thoughts. Whilst
it does not teach the skills in relation to counseling
it does provide details of the steps to take if you
encounter someone who is distressed. As places are

FRIDAYS – Beginning this Friday, 11th
March, Thornhill Centre is hosting a series of Reflection
Mornings for the Fridays of Lent. Each day begins
at 10.30 and ends with a light lunch at 1pm. Includes
a talk, quiet reflection and prayer. A donation of
£5 per morning is suggested.
Guidance the Diocese has a number of Prayer Guides
who have been trained in assisting others to use the
Scriptures for prayer. On Mondays throughout Lent,
Guides will be available at Thornhill Centre from
7pm to 10pm for anyone who would like to avail of

Opportunity – Can you give a little
time to visit with people in our community who would
like to avail of the befriending service? Some people
like a visit once a week, others less frequently.
We particularly need volunteers with transport to
visit with people in more isolated areas. Contact

Drop Inn Youth Trip to Belfast on Sat 12th
March – reminder to the young people
booked to go on this trip – bus will leave McElhinney’s
shop at 1.30pm sharp. Arriving in Belfast for a guided
tour of Falls and Shankhill, followed by dining at
the Odyssey and attendance at the Belfast Giants ice
hockey game. Approx time of return to Park is 11pm.

Marie Curie Coffee Morning –
The organizers of the coffee morning, which took place
last Tuesday 1st March, in Learmount Resource Centre
are pleased to report that a total of £627 has
been raised to date for this very worthy cause. They
would like to thank everyone who came along on the
morning, those who made donations and the many people
who helped out with the catering, baking etc.
HEARTS: REFLECTION ON THE SUNDAY GOSPELS OF LENT –
The IOSAS Centre and Celtic Prayer Garden are holding
morning Lectio Divina reflections on Wednesdays during
Lent beginning on 9th March (Ash Wednesday). Each
session will start at 11.30am in St Canice’s
Oratory and will involve quiet reflection, prayer,
and sharing. No previous experience of lectio divina
is necessary. A light lunch will be available after
for those who wish to avail of it. Cost (inc lunch,
tea and coffee) is €6/£5 per person/per
