THE NEW MASS BOOK (Roman
Missal) – THE PRESENT English Missal
was introduced in 1969. In the intervening years many
Saints and Feast days have been added. In recent years
an effort has been made to update the Missal in a
way that was suitable for all the English speaking
world. This has not been easy but has thankfully been
completed. It is hoped that the New Missal will be
introduced towards the end of next year. It will involve
many familiar texts as well as some renewed ones.

will be holding a Rural Health Clinic in Feeny Community
Hall on Wednesday 17th November 2010 from 7pm. This
will provide a range of services inc free physical
lifestyle check, access to health and wellbeing info,
cancer awareness and free screening, free blood pressure
and cholesterol checks. Also info on access to benefits,
Retledge Recruitment and Warmer Homes. A free event

OF CANCER RESEARCH UK
would like to thank all those who took part in or
sponsored our recent Banagher Dam and Forest Walk
on 2nd October. £4748.80 was raised which included
expenses of £109.37. All proceeds have been
donated to The Cancer Research Centre at Belfast City
Hospital. Thank you.

have been informed of an increase
in burglaries in the local area over the last few
weeks. People are advised to step up their home/farm
security in the run up to Christmas and to be vigilant
of any suspicious vehicles/activity in the local community.
The Western Home Environmental
Assessment Project will host an ‘Electric
Blanket Testing Roadshow and Health Fair’ in
the Diamond Centre, Claudy on Tuesday 23 Nov and in
the Civic Centre, Limavady on Fri 26th Nov from 10am
to 4pm. Have your electric blanket tested free of
charge and if it’s faulty receive a discount
voucher for a replacement. Also get your blood pressure

ROADS –RAPID are hosting road safety
workshops in local community centres as part of this
campaign. The aim is to get all those who use rural
roads to so in a safer and more enjoyable way. All

CHILDREN IN CROSSFIRE
would like to thank those who have supported
their Advent Campaign in previous years. Advent 2010
calendar boxes will be distributed at the Church doors
after Masses on weekends of 20th/21st and 27th/28th
November. Proceeds from this campaign will go towards
the Ocean Road Cancer Institute in Tanzania which
treats children from poor communities suffering from
