DERRY
DIOCESAN CHILD SAFEGUARDING ANNUAL UPDATE
There is now
a new Child Safeguarding Policy Document in place in
the Diocese of Derry. This policy aims to minimise the
risk to children involved in church activities. It has
been drawn up to meet the requirements of the National
Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church
in Ireland. A copy of the document is now available
in all parish offices and will shortly be available
to view or download from the diocesan website www.derrydiocese.org
If you or anyone
you know has a child safeguarding concern or wishes
to report an allegation directly to the statutory authorities,
please contact the PSNI/local Health and Social Care
Trust (Northern Ireland) or Health Service Executive/Garda,
(Republic of Ireland). If contacting the Health Service
Executive or local Health and Social Care Trust, ask
